Nokomis Fl

Nokomis is a community located  just north of Venice and South of Osprey on US 41, also known as "The Trail" or "The Tamiami Trail" (Tampa to Miami). US 41 runs north and south through Nokomis, very near the bay. On the east side of Nokomis is I-75, allowing easy access from Tampa or Fort Myers.

Nokomis offers waterfront property that is not as quite as costly as Sarasota with some land area that is undeveloped.  There are waterfront neighborhoods located on Shackett, Salt and Fox Creeks, Dona, Roberts, and Lyons Bays, along the shores Blackburn Bay and on Southern Casey Key, which offers bay-front, beach-front and properties that run from the beach to the bay.

There are small shops and marinas and quaint restaurants on the water. Nokomis is expanding fast and blending with Osprey and the south suburban area of Sarasota. Nokomis Beach is at the southern end of Casey Key (near the Venice Inlet from the Gulf), and offers a boat ramp, fishing, benches for relaxing by the Gulf water and public facilities. Nokomis also has several semi-private and public golf courses.

Qualification for the RE/MAX Platinum Club is based on sales production for the year. It is the highest such award in the RE/MAX network with each of those inducted producing annual sales volume in excess of $8 million in real estate value based on annual earnings. Less than three percent of the 48,000 RE/MAX Members in 24 countries and seven territories world-wide achieve this status.
